BATTLE OF THE SEXES 7:10AM
OFFICIAL RULES

To participate in the Battle of the Sexes contest listen each weekday at approximately 7:10am to Majic in the Morning. When asked to call WAJI studios, be the designated caller to call (260) 467-9500, *951 for Centennial Wireless Customer or One Communications toll-free at 1-877-951-WAJI. If you are the correct caller you will have the opportunity to compete against another individual of the opposite sex for a daily prize in a challenge where the lady is asked a gentleman’s question and the gentleman is asked a lady’s question, the individual to get the most answers correct out of 3 questions will  win the round. There is one round played per day. The Daily Winner will return the following day as the Returning Champion.  In the event that there is a tie a random question will be asked to both players and the individual to correctly answer the question will win the round. A daily winner is allowed to use a proxy for one day. If the daily winner is not available after that one day, then Majic in the Morning has the authority to choose another contestant to participate in the contest. A daily winner that wins five (5) times in a row will win the grand prize and will retire as a Majic Champion.

WAJI is not responsible for telephone service outages, delays, busy signals or telephone malfunctions and any other difficulties that may prevent you from completing your call during this contest. Please dial carefully.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
The contest is open to all WAJI listeners who are 18 years or older and who reside in the Fort Wayne Metro area.  Employees of Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., employees of any radio station in the Fort Wayne Metro area and members of their immediate family are ineligible.  Immediate family members include parents, children, in-laws, spouses, those in spouse-like relationships, and siblings (including those in step and half relations where living in the same household). 

You may only win once every thirty days. A Grand Prize winner may only win the Grand Prize once a year.

PRIZES:
You will not be awarded the prize until all eligibility requirements are verified.  The prizes given away are supplied to WAJI in exchange for promotional consideration.

The Daily Prize changes each week and the approximate retail value of the prize is determined on a weekly basis.  All daily prizes will have approximate retail values between $10 & $100. Each daily prize will be identified and its approximate retail value announced on the air. 

The Grand Prize is determined quarterly and the approximate retail value of the prize is defined and valued at approximately $450.00.

All winners must come to the WAJI studios at 347 West Berry Street Suite 417, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802 with proper identification to claim the prize and sign a receipt. 

If the winner does not claim the prize within 30 days of the date won, the winner will forfeit the prize and it will become the property of WAJI. 

Winners receiving over $50.00 in prizes must sign a receipt when claiming their prizes. 

Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:
If you are the correct caller you will have the opportunity to compete against another individual of the opposite sex for a daily prize in a challenge where the lady is asked a gentleman’s question and the gentleman is asked a lady’s question, the individual to get the most answers correct out of 3 questions will  win the round. There is one round played per day. The Daily Winner will return the following day as the Returning Champion.  In the event that there is a tie a random question will be asked to both players and the individual to correctly answer the question will win the round. If a daily winner is not available to participate on a day during their reign they are allowed to nominate another individual to participate in their place. If a daily winner is not available to participate for more than one day during their reign as champion then “Majic in the Morning” has the authority to choose another contestant to participate in the contest.

If an individual wins five (5) consecutive rounds then they win a Grand Prize and retire as a “Majic Champion” and that individual is ineligible to win the Grand Prize for the rest of that year.

If an individual holds one or more days as the reign of champion but does not win the Grand Prize, then that individual is not eligible to participate again for 30 days.

Decisions of WAJI station management with the respect to this contest are final.

CONDITIONS:
Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners will be reported to the IRS on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.

By participating in the contest, the winners agree to allow their name, voice, and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation.

By participating in this contest winners agree to hold WAJI, Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest. 

Decisions of station management with respect to the contest are final.  These rules are subject to the interpretation of WAJI. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WAJI, and such change(s) will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.

No purchase necessary, the contest is void where prohibited.

Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification, at the sole discretion of WAJI.

WAJI is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of any prize.
