MAJIC KOMET KIDS
 Official Rules

 

The “Majic Komet Kids” contest will begin on Monday, October 15, 2007 and will end on Friday, April 4, 2008.

HOW TO ENTER:
To participate in this contest go to Majic’s Web page at www.waji.com and fill out your child’s sports team name, the coach’s name, your name, your email address, your child's name, address, child’s birthdate and your home and work phone numbers.

WAJI is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the Internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.

ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
This contest is for organized league youth sport team members between the ages of 6 and 15.  Employees of Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., Fort Wayne Komets, and other radio stations in the Fort Wayne metro area, and members of their immediate families are ineligible.  Immediate family is defined as: parents, children, spouse and those in spouse-like relationships, in-laws, siblings, including those in step and half relations where living in the same household.  You may participate even if you have recently won a prize from WAJI. You may only win once during this contest. Only one winner per household is permitted in any contest.
To enter on-line, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number, and email address on the on-line entry form. Please, only one Internet entry per person.

PRIZE:
The coach or a team member of the Youth Organization of the winning registrant will receive 20 tickets to a specific home game, 20 hockey pucks, and the team will be announced at the game.

The approximate value of this prize package is $400.00.

The coach or team member of the winning registrant must claim the prize by 5pm on the last business day prior to the game at the WAJI studios or it becomes the property of WAJI and is forfeited by the winner.

Contest prizes are not transferable. Prizes may not be substituted for or redeemed for cash.

SELECTION OF WINNERS:
A WAJI staff member will draw a name from all of the entries. WAJI will notify the selected entrant by phone each Friday after 9am. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted within 2 business days after the initial call is placed, then that entrant will forfeit the prize and an alternate entrant will be selected. This process will continue until one winner is determined.
Each child entered may only win one time during this contest.

Decisions of WAJI with respect to these rules and the conduct of the contest are final.

CONDITIONS:
Should a scheduled game be cancelled, the winning team will be re-assigned to a game later in the season.

Payment of all federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Winners will be reported to the IRS on IRS Form 1099 or the equivalent.

By participating in the contest, the winner agrees to allow their name, voice and/or likeness to be used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this contest for a period of one year without additional financial or other compensation.

The contest winner is required to sign a receipt verifying eligibility prior to acceptance of the prize and is also required to sign a publicity and liability release in which the winner aggress to hold WAJI, Sarkes Tarzian, Inc. and the respective officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives harmless from and against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the award of the prize or participation in the contest. 

WAJI, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the WAJI Web Site or who is otherwise in violation of the rules. The station further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

These rules are subject to the interpretation of WAJI. Any aspect of these rules, including the substitution of a prize or prizes of equivalent or greater value, can be changed at the discretion of WAJI, and such change(s) will become effective upon on-air or other appropriate announcement.
No purchase necessary. The contest is void where prohibited. 

Failure to comply with the contest rules may result in a contestant’s disqualification at the sole discretion of WAJI. 

WAJI is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the contest or in the announcement of any prize.
